Maintenance methods of angular contact ball bearings

1. When the bearing runs to a certain period (or maintenance period), all the bearings are removed.
2. Use diesel oil or kerosene to soak and clean the bearing. If there are technical conditions, it is better to open the sealing cover for cleaning.
3. Dry cleaning oil after cleaning, no damage in appearance inspection;
4. Fixed a bearing at one end with a wooden rod (preferably hollow tube) with a diameter of about 150 mm and an angular contact ball bearing with the same inner diameter.
5. While rotating the bearings quickly by hand, the other end of the stick (wooden tube) is put on the ear or on the microphone of the audio amplifier to listen to the noise of the bearing rotation.
6. After fixing the bearing, move the stick horizontally to check whether the bearing is wearing and loosening.
7. FAG bearings with serious loosening, excessive rotating noise and serious defects should be eliminated and replaced by the same type.
8. Take a barrel and melt the appropriate amount of grease (high quality butter) with gentle fire (not overheating). Soak the tested bearings in the barrel until no bubbles overflow. The bearing is removed before the grease is cooled, and the residual grease is less. When the grease is cooled, the angular contact ball bearing is removed, and the amount of residual grease is large. Determine the amount of grease residue according to need.
9. Use soft cloth or toilet paper to wipe the grease outside the bearing and assemble the FAG bearing on the pulley as it is. The maintenance work will be finished.
